On Writing More

Some thoughts on why I want to write regularly and what I hope to get out of it.

I’ve always admired people who write consistently. Not because they produce viral content, but because the act of writing forces clarity. You can’t explain something you don’t understand.

The goal

I want to use this blog as a thinking tool. When I learn something new — a pattern, a debugging technique, an idea that changes how I see a problem — I want to write it down. Not for an audience, but for my future self.

Why it’s hard

Writing takes effort. It’s much easier to consume than to create. Reading a tutorial gives you the illusion of understanding. Writing your own explanation tests whether you actually got it.

The other obstacle is perfectionism. Every draft feels rough, unfinished, not ready. But a published rough post is infinitely more useful than an unpublished perfect one.

The plan

One post a week, minimum. Short is fine. The point isn’t volume — it’s the habit of processing thoughts into words.

Let’s see how it goes.
